Taco John's - Chamberlain

I have 0 interest in posting negative reviews but I’ve reached out to TJ’s twice and haven’t heard back. Earlier this week I went through the drive through, ordered a Super Potato Ole’s and it came on a cardboard plate bought from a grocery store. Weird but no big deal, it’s summer, lots of tourist traffic… it’s ok. The next evening I stopped on my through as well. As the window person was waiting for the line to finish the food, I see the person on the line reach down and grab something that’s falling and then put it in the bag. The window guy kinda smirks but no harm no foul. Things happen. I proceed on my way, grab my potato oles, they’re kinda like warm but it’s been a long day and they taste good. Going down the road further I reach for a taco and I instantly realized what dropped. The nacho cheese, and they threw it in the bag without double checking the lid. So when I reached in to grab my taco there’s cheese everywhere, over everything. I get it, things happen. If my day had went better, if TJ’s had contacted me either time after contacting them… I wouldn’t be on google, for all the world to see this review. But those things didn’t happen and cheese all over my bag and hand did. I stopped, threw my cheese blasted food away and grabbed Dairy Queen. All I had hoped for was someone to say, we could have and should have did better. That’s it, not a refund, nothing like that. But you didn’t, couldn’t and wouldn’t. So here we are, a stupid google review.

Stopped here on our way to Rapid City on Sturgis weekend. One person working and trust me he was working his butt off. Give it one star because management or ownership should have been there helping, shame on you. The place was packed.

The only thing I missed was the dr pepper was broken. Otherwise this was a classic taco John's experience. They even brought the food out to us. I had some yummy Chipotle lime fried chicken tacos.

I’ve stopped here a handful of times while traveling between Sioux Falls and Rapid City and my orders have never once been correct. Stop at a gas station for food and avoid this location.
