Lee ho Chinese Takeaway - Cessnock

The food at this restaurant was outstanding. I highly recommend it as they offer a variety of dishes. Although it took over an hour to be served, the staff were apologetic and remained friendly throughout. The restaurant is always busy due to the exceptional quality of the food.

The best Chinese restaurant in the area! Their cooking does not contain any MSG and I highly recommend trying it out. Some of my favorite dishes are the chicken chow mein, chicken omelette, prawn omelette, combination soup, chicken sweet corn soup, Peking steak, braised chicken with mushroom, honey chicken, and deluxe fried rice. The spring rolls are also very large and delicious! This place offers great value for money.

The fried rice is delicious, but I was disappointed by the unappealing interior of the shop.

We live nearby the Lee Ho and we have had take away from there about once a month for the past 7 years. They are quick, fresh and very generous sized meals and also reasonably priced. The Special Lemon Chicken and the Peking Steak are probably our favourites, but all the dishes we have ordered over the years have always been very good. Would highly recommend to everyone.

We don't eat a lot of Chinese food but my son & I wanted to try something different so we decided on Chinese food. We have a couple of local places to choose from & after looking at some reviews, I decided on this restaurant. I grew up in Sydney so I have been lucky enough to try some pretty amazing Chinese food, unfortunately this place does not fall into that category. The Mongolian lamb although very tasty was way too salty! The honey chicken had a very strong flavour of old used oil, the honey could hardly be tasted because of this. My favourite dish when having Chinese food is short soup (wonton soup), the short soup from this place was awful, so bad I couldn't stomach it & had to spit it out of my mouth. I did however enjoy the spring rolls, they were very generous in size & authentically tasty.Overall I give this place a poor rating. I would not return nor recommend eating here. Disappointed I wasted $55 on this terrible food.
