They offer a generous buffet breakfast for guests, including options such as fresh orange-carrot juice, homemade bread, house-made granola, oatmeal, local jams, tropical fruits, coffee, and herbal tea. For lunch and dinner, the restaurant is open to the public and serves dishes made with locally grown organic vegetables, herbs, and dairy products. The salad bar offers vegetarian options, with some vegan choices like hummus, lentil or black bean soup, quinoa with sautéed vegetables, and Thai green curry. Vegetarian dishes are dairy-heavy, but lacto-vegetarians will enjoy the fresh, house-made cheeses, sour cream, milk, and yogurt used in dishes like creamy soups, veggie lasagna, burritos, wraps, and pestos.
The trip from Panama City was long, but the incredible views along the way made it worth it! Los Quetzales Eco Lodge has exceeded my expectations for a tranquil and serene getaway. The service to and from the cabins, as well as in the main restaurant, was outstanding. I highly recommend this resort to anyone seeking a true nature retreat.
From the moment we arrived at this restaurant, we were greeted with the most stunning mountain views, complete with a garden, pavilion, river, ponds, spa, hiking trails, and hammocks. Our room was beautifully designed with wood accents, large windows, a spacious tub, and a fireplace. We even had a loft! It was the perfect place for our stay. Our hosts, Carlos and Ana, were warm and welcoming. And let's not forget about the delicious meals we enjoyed at their restaurant. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.
The atmosphere at this restaurant is serene and tranquil. It was founded by a well-known artist, whose own artwork and pieces by others adorn the walls. The staff, particularly Ana and Carlos, were incredibly friendly and made us feel like cherished visitors.
