I came to the woman who led us to our table, but she ignored the commentary. it was quite busy for a Tuesday and all the other dinners sat in their moms with skewed tight around them I made another comment to our server that ignores my comments again. we had both the soup and potato soup, which was hot and tasty, followed by the salmon and linguine, which was again hot and tasty. I had the tiramisu that was incredibly sweet with what tasted like a layer of condensed milk I did not eat i. my man had the panettone brot and butter pudding that he enjoyed. I mentioned on our server that I couldn't eat the tiramisu because it was overly sweet again, she decided to ignore this. if they don't mind sitting in their coat and being ignored, then the first 2 courses were ok scandalous about the staff and lack of communication.
Great food! tasted and freshly prepared, which made it a pleasure with beautiful presentation. last time I enjoyed eating Italian as this was on holiday, in italia, in crotone, that is in calabria. we will definitely visit again, in which I have just booked! the little nitpick, the young hired in the service, were somewhat slow to get a drink order. I don't care that there's a reasonable waiting time to order the food, but it's nice to have a drink while I'm going over the menu what to eat.
Such a shame. We went three times, the first was mostly good with some nice authentic tasting Italian dishes, good service and an enjoyable visit. The next two visits were both really nothing like what you would hope from an independent family restaurant. Service...was great from a waitress and a brittany. The food was incredibly bland, slow to arrive and didn't feel like it was from a specialist Italian. The bill was wrong the second time and they seemed upset when questioned.
La Calabria is now my favorite neighborhood restaurant. The food and wine are excellent, and you definitely won't leave hungry. Fantastic food!!
