Fforest Pizza Tipi - Ceredigion

My experience at Pizza Tipi on a rainy and windy afternoon was wonderful. Despite some negative reviews online, the staff were incredibly friendly, especially the barman who recommended the delicious CWRW Fforest drink. We decided to dine by the fire in the cozy tipi, which was a beautiful setting. Our pizzas arrived quickly and were delicious, and the potato cakes with aioli and sriracha mayo were also a highlight. It was the perfect way to spend a relaxed afternoon and we will definitely be returning.

We have been to Pizzatipi many times in the past and always had a great experience. However, our most recent visit was disappointing, and it seems we are not the only ones. Recent reviews have mentioned long wait times for food, lack of communication about delays, doughy pizzas, and a decline in overall customer satisfaction. We waited 55 minutes for two pizzas, even though the reception desk said the wait would be 20 minutes. The staff were polite, but it seemed like they lacked leadership and direction from management. We understand that delays happen, but it was frustrating not to be informed about them. It's disappointing to see a once great restaurant becoming complacent, at the expense of the customer experience.

We have visited this restaurant numerous times over the past 4 or 5 years and have always had a great experience. However, our most recent visit was extremely disappointing, to the point where we will not be returning. We were seated in a lovely riverside booth and placed our order, but the system kept crashing. We had to go to reception to place our order again, but our starters arrived promptly and were delicious. Unfortunately, the rest of the evening went downhill from there. We waited over an hour for our pizzas, only to be told by the manager that our order had been lost. After waiting even longer, we decided to ask for a refund, but were told that the system was down. The pizzas eventually arrived undercooked, clearly rushed. The lack of customer service and poor treatment we received was unacceptable, and we have decided not to return to this restaurant, despite being soon-to-be full-time residents of Cardigan.

What a lovely place! Such a fantastic atmosphere and pizzas were delicious. Can’t wait to return again when we are in the area.

Popped in here for a beer one afternoon and sat on the deck area overlooking the river which was great. We had already booked to return one evening you have to book on line and leave a credit card and you get charged £20 for a no show and we chose to sit around the fire inside the tepi this time. You do tend to get a few smuts on you if you sit here but it is warm. There are lots of different areas to sit in depending on group size and what you fancy. There were a lot of children here when we went during the day time but they were not here at night. Only pizza is served but they are delicious and slightly different and a good size. We ate one each but a lot of people were given a cardboard box to take the remains away. You can order by QR code at the table but I could not get it to check out signal so ended up at the bar in a queue. Good atmostphere and great friendly staff.
