Choo Zai Zhai Zì Zài Zhāi Circuit Rd

The restaurant is completely vegan. I asked for a recommendation and, since I was dining alone, the owner offered a discounted price of $6 instead of $7 without hesitation. She even included an additional dish for me to try on the side. Both the Szechuan tofu and the fish were excellent. I tried to pay for the extra dish, but the owner refused to accept my money!

This restaurant caters to single diners and serves zi char dishes. The prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly and attentive.

I felt cheated by the woman selling fried oysters at the restaurant. I paid $9 for fried char kway teow but only received $1 in change, even though the dish only cost $4. The woman insisted her calculation was correct, but I found the service to be dishonest and unprofessional.

Delicious Yong Tau Foo Soup base, quite lots of choices but rather expensive, 70 cents per item. Some of the Yong Tau Food items like Tofu, Eggplants are without filling.

Giving 5 stars because the oyster omelette was incredible!! Scarily close to the real deal, in fact, we had to triple remind ourselves that it was vegan. Remember to ask for it without eggs. As for the chilli Kangkong, it was a tiny portion for $6, so I was disappointed by that, and the flavours could have been spicier. But the oyster omelette won me over so I am giving 5 stars. Highly recommend ordering this dish!!
