Contribuiți la feedbackThis place is not good. By that I mean it was some of the worst food I?ve ever eaten of any variety and certainly the worst Italian food. The food would have been an improvement at Olive Garden and I would literally rather eat Kraft Mac and cheese rather than ever step foot in an Olive Garden.I can understand why locals who have never had real, good Italian like it but if you have ever been anywhere outside the state of Massachusetts to eat I strongly recommend trying Italian somewhere else. The ?fresh pasta? is so thick it?s like a southern style chicken dumpling. I got shrimp scampi, my friend got salmon, and another friend got chicken francaise they were all the same sauce which could best be described as lemon goo. There?s nothing fresh or remotely good about the food. Two stars is for good service although they kept pushing us to bring home the food even though we clearly didn?t eat it because it wasn?t good. I?d highly recommend the chef take a professional pasta course.
BYOB. Yes you read correctly, this place does not serve alcohol and they encourage you to bring your own to consume with dinner! This is a really really fun place. It?s extremely unique and it was an absolute blast to eat here. The small dinning area made me feel as if I were back home with family surrounding me instead of strangers. Everyone having fun and talking is a great change of pace from other hush hush stuffy restaurants. This would be a fantastic first date spot. The service was awesome and we were seated right away. They have an assortment of canned soda or sparking/still water if you didn?t byob. The food. The first thing brought to the table was a HOT AND FRESH loaf of rye bread with a pesto garlic oil dip to share. This was the best bread and oil combo unlike any restaurant I?ve had before. They nailed the simple spaghetti and meatballs and the crab ravioli was off the charts good. I highly suggest this restaurant.
My husband and I had dinner at this restaurant twice in the past week. We had walked past it a number of times and decided to give it a try. The staff, service and especially the food were FANTASTIC. We tried both specials and menu selections and loved all. The homemade pasta and eggplant were delectable!! Diners are invited to BYOB which is lovely. The restaurant is a welcomed jewel to Marblehead.
I?m shocked after reading all of the excellent reviews. What happened? This was one of the worst Italian meals ever. Too bad they broke off with Antique Table. Now they must have lost their chef. Our waitress and service was excellent but the food was so awful I don?t know where to begin.
Amazing from start to finish! The bread and oil dip is outstanding as was the eggplant parm. My husband ordered linguinie and clams in a white wine sauce that was delicious. We will most definitely be back!
