Our 12-year-old lunch described as “as Nannies” (not a complimentary meat was cooked within a customs of his life, veg was served similar to a nursing home and the bratkartoffels were like balls. saving gnade: the personal was nice and the service was great. the desserts were amazing and far exceeded the dinner! would there be another one as everyone has a free day.
Had a great breakfast and sampled some differnet beers. plenty of choice on the ales and staff were very nice and friendly.
The breakfast looked ok in the pictures on Trip Advisor but in reality it was not. Cold plates. Sausages burnt and tasted nasty. Bacon cold and burnt to a crisp. The whole thing tasted like it had been cooked in old cooking oil including the...eggs.Toast not burnt, just cold. Beans ok, tea ok. They did have HP sauce though. Take from this what you will, but if its a tasty fresh full English you are after, there are better places. Score 2/10
Booked Sunday lunch with th6e family after some complimentary reviews of the pubs fairly new owners. The pub was busy with lads and dads watching a sports TV channel in the large and cosy main bar. The spacious dining room at the back leading on...to a sunny outdoor area was a little old fashioned but clean and comfortable. The menu offer was typical pub grub with some very affordable home made specials. Sunday Roast at around £8.00 was pretty good, no suprises, fairly standard really, with an OK selection of veg, peas cabbage carrots etc and a Yorkshire Pudding. A nice touch is the child's portion roast dinner at £3.50 Good choice of local beers, nice clean loos and friendly staff.
