El Taco Riendo

Ooo, the food. Delish! I was told to give El Taco Riendo a try if I was interested in more traditional Mexican food. It was very good. Great portions and tons of flavor! If you think spices consist of only Salt Pepper, the flavor journey you takeat El Taco Riendo will be an excitement for your taste buds!

I?ve been here several times and have had a good experience? easy ordering, good food, nice dine-in, nice take out. That is, until my latest visit. Has this place succumbed to the quality curse of 2022 like so many others? I have no problem payinghigher prices in this day and age, but when higher prices are coupled with lower standards, poorer service and less qualityfood, the stars go down along with the chances of my return. Hopefully this place brings back the standard I once knew andexperienced. Until then, it?s off my go-to list.

The mole enchiladas and tacos were out of this world! We ordered the pastor, tinga, and barbacoa and were blown away by all 3. Can't wait to come back again, for the price and portions we're happy to have a new delivery go-to spot.

My go-to burrito location without a doubt. I was looking for a place that has a tasty, quality, solid value burrito, and they fit the bill perfectly. Service is good no matter how you are deciding to order. I have eaten in-restaurant, ordered online, andover the phone, and the staff is always prompt and polite, and the wait is never unreasonable. Beyond the burritos the varietyof options on the menu are great, and equally delicious.

I love love love El Taco Riendo. My standard order here is the classic burrito, with barbacoa beef and tomatoes, jalapeno peppers, and cheese inside. Is your mouth watering yet? Mine is. I usually take the burrito to go, and then head upCentral 1/2 block to Fair State Brewing for a great beer with my burrito. Yum. It's a perfect combo, IMO. There are two basicburrito options: Mexican style, or American style. American style features rice, beans, pico, cheese and sour cream. Mexicanstyle features rice, beans, grilled onions, cilantro, lime and the optional add ons listed above (my fav). It's the uniquecilantro and lime combo that makes El Taco Riendo's burritos so special. The burritos here are wrapped nicely to allow easyeating. They are not as large as the burritos available over in St. Paul (El Burrito Mercado, for example), but El TacoRiendo's burritos are MUCH more flavorful and unique tasting. It's quality here, not simple quantity. The staff are all superpolite and friendly, eager to help you out with questions. The cashier always speaks good English. There are limited parkingoptions on Central, so be prepared to grab a spot on a side street and walk. The sitting area inside is relatively sparse andnot large, so be prepared for this too. The night I went here, the line was quite long to order. Each burrito, enchilada,fajita, taco order are all made from scratch while you wait. I am happy that this restaurant survived their big fire severalyears ago (see my photos from 2020) where they operated out of a food truck, and decided to renovate and reopen in the originallocation. If you're craving a high-quality delicious burrito, get to El Taco! I know you want one now, right??? Gosh, I suredo. I'm hungry now!
