One of my friends was quite shocked to hear that I liked this place better than Xi’an famous food I found to be quite homogeneous in taste and excessively oily. Your interior is pretty no-frills. The waitress communicated better with our friend who spoke to her. There were some mistakes to get with silverware and napkins. Besides, they really didn't want to turn on the central air and it was freezing in there!!! The food was good. I recommend the eggplant (which was roasted deep before the sauce — quite new to me! , the pork sucker thing (do not dry wet, and we also got a fried chicken dish with the dried paprika, which is quite standard. If I ever find myself in Eastern LI, I would come back, but probably not in winter bc it was really so cold in it. I heard all the spits taste like cumin and little other — so we stayed away from them.
LOL kitchen and grill, what a Chinese restaurant. It is not easily visible from the street and you need to move into a side street to access the small parking lot, and from the place can be difficult, depending on what type of vehicle you have and how you park. There is a No Turn On Red light when you go, and the light is quite long. When we entered, there was no cheerful greeting and service was ok, although something tense. Despite all the deficiencies logistics-wise, if you have eaten here, you will be back. The food is excellent, and the menu is quite extensive without many of the usual dishes you can see in other Chinese restaurants. The dimsum is made to order, so ready to wait about 15-20 minutes. Try all grilled spits, except perhaps for meat-infused Enoki mushrooms. Enokis are chewing, no matter how you cook them. The lamb was wonderfully spiced and very tasty, although a tad on the salty and spicy side, but so it should be for Chinese cuisine. There's no mint yoly. There was so much that I wanted to try it, we saw some diners with a hot pot I could have got, except that some in my party could not handle sharp hands. Maybe next time. We ordered approx. 5-6 different dimsum articles, 3 different types of spits and a few conventional Chinese dishes. All were very good. I liked the tea they had, Lol. Overall, we come back and bring more people who can handle the spicy things!
Genuine authentic and delicious Chinese cuisine. We ordered spits, chicken wings, dry pot and other stuff. Would highly recommend.
Delicious Chinese food. It's not American, so don't expect the usual fair. You have some dishes like chicken and broccoli, so you're not afraid. The egg-cutard-back is a delicious sweet bun and the pork chop is savory. I definitely go back.
Authentic and tasty Chinese food. The skewers are good and we'll flavoured. The other dishes are typical authentic Chinese fare. Decor and service are simple, with menus laminated into the tables.
