The Mill And Terrace - Celbridge

The food was delicious, and the waiter was incredibly friendly, all set in a beautiful ambiance. We had a delightful evening and will definitely return, even though it was a bit pricey. It was the best dining experience we've ever had!

The meal was excellent overall. The only downside was that the roast beef, while delicious, was served on a plate that wasn't hot, which left it getting cold quickly. The vegetables were fine, but I did find the room to be a bit chilly; it must be challenging to heat such a large space.

I visited the restaurant on the bank holiday for dinner with my partner, and it was fantastic. Last Sunday, I took my mother and my two young children, aged 5 and 3, for Sunday dinner. The staff were wonderful, but the food was just average. The soup was cool, though it was nicely presented. However, my children weren't really suited for the menu options available. I feel this place is more tailored for adults and not ideal for young kids. I plan to take the children back next week for sandwiches to see how that goes. I would recommend this restaurant for adults, but not for families with small children. Additionally, I found the pricing to be quite high for the quality of food we received. Overall, the dinner menu seemed to be of much better quality than the lunch menu.

We booked the mill restaurant for a special wedding anniversary. We have been there for Sunday lunch many times so we were really looking forward to a special evening. Firstly we were seated with our backs to the restaurant looking onto a wall the water mill which during the day is spectacular but it was dark on this night. There was a screaming child next to us for the first 40 mins of our time there. We were also seated too near the cheese trolley so the staff had to squeeze past one of our chairs regularly which was uncomfortable. We had to call our waiter over for drinks/menus. There was no attention paid to us. One of our steaks was blue we asked for medium. There was no apology or offer to keep the other one warm while we waited for it to be redone. We waited about 20 minutes to order desserts which by the time someone noticed we had decided to just get the bill which came with again no apologies. There was no consistency in the evening. It was haphazard a bit chaotic considering it wasn’t overly busy the staff were not up the usual standard we have come to expect from Lyon’s estate. We were very disappointed even more so when they never even replied to an email we sent them that night explaining our disappointment.
