Contribuiți la feedbackFantastic authentic experience amazing food and amazing people. The steaks were fantastic followed by a fresh meat plate selected from the counter. We're going back.
We recently moved to Puglia and find such a fantastic restaurant just a few miles from us is great. Choose the meat you want to offer from the incredibile choice, then go up into a cozy restaurant with barrel vault. So we went with the classic Italian Bombetta there are many different fillings Steak and Salsiccia sausage, served with Jack potatoes and fried potatoes. The food comes on sizzling chicks and is amazing that we accompany a local primitivo to our meal. Honestly try this place they are beautiful people do an amazing work we definitely back
When we walked in we were greeted by the butcher and a large selection of meats—dry aged beef along with various sausages, pork, and meat products. We went with the porterhouse/t-bone and chose the Chianina over the Angus or Hereford. Being from the US, we’ve had plenty of Angus and Hereford before; however, we have never had Chianina. The beef was incredibly tender and delicious! After ordering the cut of meat we wanted and stating how we wished it to be prepared, we walked upstairs to the restaurant. There we were met by a server who took our order for sides. We went with the roasted potatoes. Normally, potatoes are just a vessel for me to eat ketchup. Although I had access to ketchup, the potatoes were so good on their own I forgot all about ketchup. We had an absolutely delicious meal, wonderful experience and would go back to this restaurant anytime.
The Apulian bombette are probably the best street food delicacies spread throughout the entire Puglia. Slices of pork neck stuffed with basket cheese, salt, pepper and grilled in ready cookers (fornelli pronti) , typical combination of butchery and grill house in the area, in which the Apulian bowls (bombette) are placed on stainless steel skewers and placed next to the fire. We visit twice the butchery restaurant and due to the extremely crowded hours of the late evening, we prefer to wait 45 minutes and take away our orders. The steaks was absolutely delicious, but the general opinion about bombette was that it deserves to be part of the gastronomic heritage that belongs to Puglia. Such an explosion of flavor is difficult to describe. We had the chance to eat them with a typical local bread called Puccia (a type of bread typical of Puglia and more precisely of Salento). A wonderful Primitivo wine from Puglia, completed the summer diner time spent on our terrace. Thanks again La Buona Arrosteria owner for the meat products chosen by him and grilled for us in the butcher 's kitchen. We recommend anyone in the area not to miss such an experience and especially to arm themselves with the patience to wait and buy the dishes for a home lunch or diner. The open air street terrace is a good choice also but the inside 1st and 2nd floor has to wait less crowded times...
Love this place downstairs is a butchers shop, so you can choose your meat, then you go upstairs to have it cooked!! good food excellent value one of my favourite places to eat in Ceglie.
