Contribuiți la feedbackI stayed here because it was close to a museum and a restaurant I wanted to visit while in IA plus I had driven for 5 hours and needed a relaxing meal and bed before heading home. The area is weird because it's industrial with two hotels next to each other and semi close to the interstate. I didn't get a good vibe from the area but I already booked the room. I had the hardest time ever getting a room because the front desk kept giving me rooms only to be chased down and my room keys taken from me because someone already had that room, 3rd time was a charm and that's a first my extensive hotel record over the years. My king suite was nice enough with some extra space with a small living room, kitchen, bathroom and bed room with an open floor plan. No bed bugs after a complete room inspection like I have been doing forever. The kitchen looked horrible construction wise like chuck in the truck built it and I didn't even take the pictures. Security was a joke because if you put pressure on the window inward it unlocks and slides open, not good on the ground floor so I jammed spoons in the track so no one can push them in and have a surprise for me. After looking around I realized that I got a handicap bathroom because it was large with hand rails and a seat in the shower. They have an indoor pool, laundry room, dining room, patio, lobby and ice machine. 10:20 pm the fire alarm goes off so I book it out of the room with the basics only to find no one concerned at all and I'm told that cooking sets off the sensitive alarm sensors. Overall the room was spacious like a small apartment and clean but not my average hotel stay.
An absolutely not. Our room had a bathroom door that jammed making it almost impossible to get out, our AC unit was broken and not able to be fixed. We moved to another room but it wasn't clean. The couch was filthy, the toilet hadn't been cleaned and there was food in the microwave. There were torn or missing screens on many windows and cabinet doors hanging off their hinges in the kitchen. The hotel was just gross on all levels. The front desk manager was annoyed that I asked for another room and not at all someone who should be working in the hospitality industry. I would have rather slept in my car then that hotel. We left immediately after calling and finding another hotel. This is a hard pass.
This place has declined in the last couple years. We stayed in 2019 it was much nicer. This time there was a roach or water bug in the elevator, cigarette burns on the sofa, towels that were provided were threadbare.and ripped window screens. I also witnessed several men in the hallways on their phones. As a mother traveling with young girls it was just awkward. Seems like there a lot of maintenance or construction workers who stay here. One of these reasons alone might not determine if I'd stay there again but all added together I think I'd probably opt to stay somewhere else. The ladies behind the desk were friendly.
Holy Cedar Rapids-if you like the smell of weed and drunk people in the hallways and not being able to use a keycard at the the doors this your place,we are in town for work and I thought well it only 2 miles away from the job great and affordable,I was wrong so the computer glitched out while using my debit card and charged me for a extra night, rooms were just ok,weird setup two queen beds foot to foot and a tv in the middle so only one person can watch!!! Kitchen area just dirty fridge was gross and microwave was just old and never updated-so ending on this note if you like to party all night stay here if you just wanna relax and sleep go elsewhere!!!!
My mother's luggage went missing at this hotel, a police report was filed, and all the cops and us asked was to look at the cameras. The hotel staff wouldn't allow it without the owner and the owner said he'd be in at 9pm! Hours later! So we go back at 9 and lone behold there's zero owner. The guy apparently had more important issues than helping my elderly, disabled mother find her luggage! Did I mention her birth certificate, social, ballet, money, medication, and everything was in this bag? They don't care. Why not just let the cops look at the cameras?! DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS. I made the mistake of giving them thousands
