Puerto Vallarta Jalisco - Cedar City

This place is absolutely AMAZING! I would give more stars if I could! The service in this place was hands down the best I've ever received, the food was Soo good and to top it off we had fresh salsa made right at our table... Unreal

I will say portion sizes are good/large. The Carne Asada burrito and Cheese enchiladas with tacos plate were good. However, the Carne la a Parrilla was disappointing. The grilled Carne was good however, the grilled sausage was a hot dog.The margaritas and rumchata taste good, but as a former bartender, did not have the proper amount of alcohol. The mojito was not good. Tasted like just tonic water with mint.

Went on 05.05.2023 with the expectation that is was going to be slammed due to the date. The wait for a table was actually minimal, and we were seated in a booth. It took ten minutes for water and chips to come out, and additional fifteen minutes for our waitress Jessica to take our order that was the only thing she did rightbesides dropping off the food and the check. We got a super burrito and fajitas, along with queso as an appetizer. A while later, the burrito came out with the fajita side plate, and my SO gave me the green light to start eating due to the size of the burrito (9 knife for reference). About eight minutes later, Jessica brought out the fajitas as well as the queso we ordered, then promptly left. She didn't ask how things were, if we needed anything, and forgot the tortillas. It took another five minutes to flag her down, and an eternity for them to arrive. By the time the tortillas did arrive, I finished my burrito. Not once during the service were we asked if we wanted more to drink or needed anything. The only drink refill that was offered came from the bussing staff as we were getting up to leave. The bill was also quickly dropped off.The reason I write this review is that other tables with different waiters didn't seem to have any issues constant refills, napkins, appetizers arriving before entrees and there was no apology. The food was outstanding with great prices, paired with the worst service we've had in a decade. Jessica, I'm not sure if you were having a bad day, but I hope today was an exception.

We’ve been here a few times and have loved it every time! The portions are huge and the wait staff was very attentive. It’s definitely our go-to for Mexican! It is on the pricier side, but we feel that the quantity of food balances that out.

Puerto Vallarta Jalisco!!! I have been to a great many Mexican places in my life, but this restaurant was a unique experience and I was so impressed with the food and service. As a sidenote, Cedar city is a wonderful place that I did not know about until a few months ago and now it is my favorite in between as I travel from Colorado to California. This Mexican restaurant provides a unique experience in many ways, one of which being fresh guacamole made at the table side as an option for appetizer. You can really taste the difference and the experience is worth it as well. The portions were extremely generous as someone may expect, but the food was also thoroughly flavorful. We had been a little desperate for vegetables when eating out recently, but the food we found here was exactly what we needed! I am so glad we had the opportunity to eat here and it is definitely on my list when I am in Cedar City again. Always wonderful to have a staff as courteous as this one and with the terrific food, this is easily one of my favorite Mexican restaurants!
