Tin Gow - Cebu City

The first dish served was a dried scallop soup with vegetable greens. At first glance, it appeared simple and unassuming, but I was pleasantly surprised by how it delighted my taste buds. That initial impression set a promising tone for the dishes that followed: shrimp salad, crispy roasted chicken, steamed Lapulapu fish, sweet and sour pork, a dim sum sampler platter, braised beef, birthday pancit, stir-fried green beans, and finally, fried rice with crispy anchovies. For dessert, we enjoyed Japanese fried egg rolls stuffed with cream cheese and seaweed, along with sesame balls. I was astonished by how much I relished each dish. Every item was well-prepared, delicious, perfectly textured, and beautifully presented. I had been eager to try their Peking duck, but unfortunately, it wasn't available due to the pandemic. I learned that they import their Peking duck from Hong Kong, which certainly gives me a good reason to return. I can confidently say that Tin Gow is one of the best, if not the best, Chinese restaurants in Cebu. I believe that the secret to enjoying great restaurant food is knowing what to order and being aware of what you’re selecting. Previous visits help inform that decision, and building a rapport with the chef can enhance the experience as well. Overall, this was a truly memorable gastronomic adventure.

Always a winner and undoubtedly the best Chinese restaurant in Cebu! My personal favorite is the crispy butter squid.

Tin Gow is an excellent Chinese restaurant, especially for a hotel establishment. Waterfront Cebu has found a gem in this venue. Their menu is impressive, featuring a variety of dishes, including the classic Peking Duck.

If you're looking for an authentic and legit Chinese goodness, Tin Gow is one place you should not miss. Located at the Gourmet Walk in Waterfront Hotel in Cebu. Dined here during the Chinese New Year and it was worth it.
