Acqua Pazza - CATENANUOVA

We decided to leave the motorway for dinner on the way back from the Sicilia Outlet Village to Catania and found ourselves at the Acqua Pazza which is located on a small village square in Catenanuova. The menu has more to offer than pizza but pizza is what we were in the mood for so we ordered three (one each). The menu has enough English to make it comprhensible and the staff are very helpful in helping you choose. Apart from standard pizzas they have a variety of calzone type closed pizzas and other variations. There are pictures in the menu to make choosing easier. This place is not in any tourist hotspot and was filled with locals. It's definitely worth a visit or stop off for lunch or dinner if passing. The pizzas are quite large so we packed our takeaways in a box and enjoyed them the next day.

We stopped for lunch on our way to Mondello and this place really gave us a pleasent surprise. We ordered a diabolo pizza, pasta gamberi, local red wine and coffee and it was all delicious with very good price (aprox. 20 EUR). Service was great. This restaurant is a must!
