La Bottegaccia - CATANZARO

Let me start by saying that I give 4 stars to encourage improvement, I found myself very well both in terms of the environment and the food. Good value for money: 1 starter, 1 first course and 1 dessert, water €25 per person. Excellent flavors for both the starter and the first course. Allow me now to give a very personal piece of advice and only because I hope to come back and change my mind, otherwise I wouldn't even write it, 100 gr. Of fresh pasta they are not equivalent to 100 gr. Of dried pasta... the pasta seasoning was excellent and plentiful, adding 50/60 grams of extra pasta shouldn't be a problem... in the case of the scilatelle we're talking about water and flour! In the case of other types of pasta costing just a few cents... we are in a trattoria, and that's why I went there (and not just me), people don't expect to find gourmet dishes but friendliness, family atmosphere, abundance in the dishes like at home with your mother or grandmother, tradition and ancient flavours...the real trattorias of the past! otherwise you go elsewhere... to find large dishes and small portions and eat well, there are far too many places. I write this review with sympathy and because the opinion is positive, I had a very good time and because I hope to return soon with some friends and give 5 stars...otherwise next time I'll give it a miss!

We ate pizza and some treats for dinner. The location is pleasant even if the area in which it is located is adjacent to the industrial one. The pizza is decent, made in a wood oven, the prices are competitive but the service needs to be improved. In fact, after a good start, the pizza was served quickly, we were practically forgotten even though there were only three tables occupied and we had to ask several times to have dessert and to have bitters.

The gentleman who takes the orders is very professional, the waiter is a little awkward but the kindness and grace with which he does things are at the top. The environment is very pleasant and welcoming, it's just a shame that we found the weather bad. Excellent food, promoted by all the guests
