Lido Arcobaleno - Catania

I liked that it was a sandy beach. You can not really swim, because the sea is shallow there, but It’s great for families with children. The restaurant was good, we did not have to wait too much. It’s a little bit difficult to communicate with the staff in English, but they solved it. They have baby seats, too. The only thing I did really not like, was the pollution in the sea. It’s usual in Catania on the streets, too.

No air-conditioning in hotel. Avoid going to Catania in Aug it's burning hot. It was 38 degrees early aug when we arrived. This restaurant has good food options as expensive as a fine dine restaurant. Also has ready to eat food so you can avoid sitting there in the heat. Always rent a car in Italy taxis are crazy expensive. Most hotels have no connectivity to airport and you are stuck in the hotel without a car.

Spiaggia sabbiosa piuttosto pulita. Di passaggio per poche ore ma con tanto relax. Il lido offre la possibilità di noleggiare teli in caso si fosse sprovvisti. Personale gentile
