Kare Kare was the best dish, but didn't have much meat. Peanut Sauce was mild and good. Lechon kawali, excessively fat and unimpressive. Sisig too much vinegar presence. Service was good. Prices were reasonable
Well, I was looking for a delicious Authentic Filipino restaurant and I found Dampa randomly. I have seen one of their Facebook videos cooking pinoy food. After that, I conducted my research and found out that it is a few miles away from my area. So decided to go to Dampa and I had to order about 5 dishes in my head. I ordered online and I was surprised that it was high and expensive at $100 plus. The food was OK at the time looks promising. Second time, I ordered another 5 dishes and again it is at $100 plus. Most dishes are a bit sweet, they seem to be stuck in sugar. In the five courts I ordered is Kate-Kare. The Kare-kare had a very large bone in it with very little meat. I was so disappointed that I could not believe that a high paying customer like me will be treated with such respect. I honestly believe who ever cook the Kare Kare Definitely knows what they do to cheat a huge bone to me. I am so disappointed and decided to write this review and never return to Dampa Restaurant again.
The Tocilog and the Laing were amazing. This was my first time and will not be my last. I'm a new parent. You won't regret coming here. Food: 5/5
BUSSIN ON GOD NO CAP. BANGUS SISIG AND LAING SCHMACKIN. But seriously tho, so glad to have found a solid Filipino stain on this side of the bay. The food is warm and soul.
Amazing Filipino food brought back so many memories of home cooked meals of my childhood. I really enjoyed the nilaga. The bone marrow was on point and so delicious! Looking forward to my next visit.
