The Beara Coast - Castletownbere

We had a fantastic experience at the Beara Coast Hotel. The family room was beautiful with ample space and an incredible bathroom. The restaurant served us the most delicious meal, especially the curried monkfish which was a standout dish. I highly recommend it and can't wait to return. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

Whenever I return home to Castletownbere, my mother and I always have lunch at the Beara Coast Hotel. The food is delicious and the staff are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the Beara Coast Hotel to everyone and can't wait for my next visit. I'm already thinking about what to order next - the curried monkfish, tender beef with tasty gravy, and my mom's favorite, the fish cakes. The menu is so varied, I am getting hungry just thinking about it.

The hospitality upon entering this restaurant is indescribable. It feels like walking into a warm family gathering, where aunts and uncles welcome you like a long-lost relative. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the beds are incredibly comfortable. The bar and restaurant staff engage with customers effortlessly, maintaining conversations as they serve each table. The breakfast options are exceptional, with dishes like Eggs Bearnaise and tender, well-seasoned lambs kidneys being standout favorites among our group. The staff, from the owner to the servers, are incredibly knowledgeable and happy to provide suggestions for things to do in the area. I highly recommend this hotel and cannot wait to return, especially to enjoy a relaxing moment with a drink in the library – the perfect escape from the rest of the party.

Cannot praise both Mark’s and their staff highly enough. We had an amazing Christmas lunch (32 people) and it could not have been better. Thanks a million for going above and beyond every time we go in.
