Contribuiți la feedbackThe perfect olde world venue for a cold winter's night. It was nice to see many of the old features of the building retained Log fire burning added to the atmosphere. An extensive specials board menu but we stuck with a favourite of fish and chips which didn't disappoint. A good selection of local wines. Waiting staff were attentive. We arrived just prior to the busy dinner time hence the empty tables in my photo. We'll definitely return.
Doesn't look much from the street, just a country pub, but inside it's a lovely restaurant, separate from the public bar. I thought the food was excellent. Here is the Thai Beef Salad, the Roast Pumpkin Salad and the Sticky Date Pudding.
Desserts here eclipse the main menu the servings are generous size so share if you can. Loved the interior wondered if the heritage items has been preserved intact. My four stars is for overall experience. I broke my cardinal rule of 'never order seafood/fish ' in a pub setting paid the price. Barramundi was stale the rice like straight out thawed texture though the presentation looked enticing. Others liked what they had. Friendly wait staff. Recommend draught Harcourts apple cider.
Staff were friendly and welcoming and very accomodating especially seeing we didn't have a reservation! The meals were fantastic chicken breast from the specials board and eye fillet steak.
Had to do the Chicken Parma , bullet proof and highly recommended for being perfect. The service and ambience was bang on. If in central Victoria make this a go to on your travels.
