Chameleon Restaurant - Castlegar

I believe this restaurant is deserving of a Michelin Star! The food was just as good, if not better than what I had in Germany. The Weisswurst with Jager gravy and spatzle was fantastic. The schnitzel was perfect. And the chocolate mousse was incredible – thick, creamy, and rich with a hint of alcohol. I highly recommend this restaurant! The apple crumble was also very enjoyable.

We loved the traditional German cuisine and classic ambiance. The meal was delicious and we highly recommend trying this restaurant. We will definitely return.

I gave this restaurant 4 out of 5 stars only because there was only one vegetarian option. However, the dish was delicious and my meat-eating family members all agreed that it is now their favorite restaurant in Castlegar. The service was excellent and the food was delicious!

Really delicious German authentic food. We were visiting the town and surprised by three different dishes we ordered. The restaurant has small town feeling into it and the food taste like homemade style.

This food brought back to childhood the borcht was magnificent. The fusion between the Russian and German food was most excellent. The owner Marina was so accommodating and friendly. The atmosphere and the decor of this restaurant was so homey and eclectic. I highly recommend eating here.
