The Singing Chocker - Castleford

It's not a bad pub, though the decor is a bit dated, and it felt quite quiet. The food was well-prepared and served warm. I probably should have asked about the portion size before I ordered, but for £15, you really can't go wrong. It's good value for classic pub grub!

We received excellent service today from a lovely lady named Sue. She made us feel very welcome. The steak was an outstanding value at just £5.50! I highly recommend making a reservation, as it can get quite busy here.

We absolutely love this pub; it’s our go-to spot when we’re out for the day. The food is always delicious and served hot. The staff are consistently friendly and polite. The only reason we're giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the decor could use a small update, particularly with the furniture and some embellishments. Otherwise, it would definitely be a 5-star experience!

We went to dinner tonight and drink to sing chocker, it's already a past. the starter and the main course were by far the best we had in a long time, the service was friendly and the eating delicious. my man and I had a plate for two starters, the chicken wings were cooked to perfection and then we had both steak-mine medium well made and hubby medium rare. both cooked to perfection, the best steak we had for years! the personal explains the new kitchen staff and knows what they do. we'll be back soon.

Not been here for years but was pleasantly surprised. Good value at 10.59 for 2 main meals, cooked lovely. All fresh produce, good portions, arrived quickly even though busy. Friendly helpful staff, nice relaxed atmosphere, all ages in. Will be going back.
