Happy Beans - Castleford

A few months have passed, and I believe it’s important to provide a balanced review rather than only sharing a negative experience. Recently, I ordered from Happy Beans, and the delivery was incredibly quick, along with an upgrade in the overall experience. Because of this, I’m updating my rating from 3 stars to 5.

I decided to try this restaurant after seeing some great reviews. I ordered the sweet and sour king prawns, chicken fried rice, chips, and prawn crackers (which were complimentary). Overall, the food was good. The king prawns were a nice size and well-battered. The chicken fried rice was tasty, but I was a bit disappointed to find that the chicken consisted of strip-like bits of processed meat instead of fresh chicken. The chips were freshly cooked and very enjoyable. However, the prawn crackers were a bit stale, as if they had been boiled, possibly from the day before, or simply warmed up in a plastic bag. Despite these issues, I’ll give the place another chance and return for a second visit.
