Burly Brewing Company - Castle Rock

I am a big supporter of local breweries, even with the higher prices ($7.50 for a 16 oz beer). I purchased a glass at Oktoberfest where the bartenders mentioned that if I bring it back, I would receive a 20 oz pour for the price of a 16 oz. This is actually a clever idea from the brewery's perspective. However, upon inspecting a recent pour I received, it was not the full 20 oz as promised, and it may not have even been 16 oz. The bartender seemed more focused on chatting with the owner and a few patrons at the bar rather than pouring the beer properly. I recommend training the bartenders to pay more attention to the pour. Despite this, this brewery is easily the best in Castle Rock!

Very disappointed that we went on vacation today to try their beer, and they had a Lady Republican giving speeches? We left. So I have no idea how good the beer is. If they wanted to hold that event, they should have closed their business for a private party and posted it. Very disappointed in their choices.

My previous review disappeared. We were treated poorly because we were not part of a group that reserved almost all of the spaces. We were interrupted and told to move our vehicle to accommodate the large group and then ignored. It was a “veteran” related event. I served over 22 years on active duty and participated in 2 wars. I certainly don’t expect special treatment, but will not tolerate second class treatment. We have been there 5 times and will never go back.UPDATE: The owner responded to my review and was very defensive, which says it all. The owner claimed that a video (likely without audio) was reviewed that proves I fabricated my review. The owner could have asked for clarification but did not. Instead, the owner called me a liar after supposedly reviewing a video that may or may not exist. Well done and good for you owner. By the way, the parking lot was cordoned AFTER we parked and not before as your response implies. And you forgot to mention how my spouse was ignored when she tried to pay our tab. Based on the picture of the owner on your website, you were the one who ignored her. Please consider doing better planning in the future and embracing candor.

I was lucky enough to have my retirement at Burly. Lisa and her staff did an amazing job ensuring all of my 60 guests were taken care of. Burly is an amazing brewery with a great inviting atmosphere. I would recommend checking this place out for a pint or for your next event. Always a great time at Burly!

Burly in Castle Rock is a fantastic Brewing. The service is friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home. The POG (Passion Fruit, Orange, and Guava) hard seltzer is a personal favorite, bursting with refreshing tropical flavors. A must-visit spot for beer enthusiasts seeking a cozy atmosphere.
