Pinaglis - Castle Point

After a few disappointing visits, I heard it was under new management so I decided to give it another go. What an improvement! Staff were friendly, food portions almost doubled in size, new owner really lovely and helpful. Looking forward to my next visit.

Received a voucher for Christmas, for afternoon tea. Enjoyed Cheese Cucumber, Egg Lettuce and Coronation Chicken sandwiches, scones with cream and jam and Victoria sponge and chocolate sponge tea cakes. Both white bread and Granary bread was lovely and fresh. We had a pot of tea with was enough for 4 cups of tea each. £15.95 per head. Vouchers are available at the counter.

This tea room is lovely, with friendly and excellent service. The food is always top-notch and the atmosphere is very relaxing.

We visited the restaurant on the final day that the current owners were in charge before closing for a three-week period. Despite this, they were still able to provide everything we requested from the menu. I am confident that the tea room will continue to thrive under new ownership. An added bonus is that there is free parking in the car park for up to three hours.

I visited this restaurant last week. The food was good, but the service was very slow and they didn't serve fried bread. I would prefer to go to a cafe in the village instead, as the tables at this restaurant make it feel a bit cramped.
