Passiontree Velvet - Castle Hill

I recently dined at this restaurant for the fourth time and once again ordered the stack of laughs. It is a delightful mix of flavors and textures that keeps me coming back for more. Priced at $14, the generous portion of smoked salmon makes it a great value. My only complaint is that the restaurant can get a bit noisy.

The staff at this restaurant is very friendly and the coffee is good. The scone portion served was a bit stingy, but it was still enjoyable. I didn't feel rushed to finish my meal. The dishes being served at other tables looked delicious and generous. I would definitely come back again.

This cafe looks pretty and has an attractive array of deserts in the cabinet. I had scones, they were very small and more like biscuits. My friend had bananna bread which was average. The coffee was reasonable. Perhaps this is a good place for an...older tea loving, cake loving clientele.

I visited the cafe this afternoon and purchased some macarons and cakes. The woman who took my order seemed very unfriendly, not offering a single smile. When my order arrived with coffee, I received a box of macarons and coffee but no bag. When I asked for a bag, she gave me a dirty look and said it would cost 20 cents. I didn't have any change on me. If she had mentioned the bag fee at the beginning, it would have been a better experience. It felt like she was doing me a favor, even though I had paid a good price for my treats. I am disappointed as I am a regular customer at this cafe. I hope they will train their employees to at least smile for the customers.
