This is a typical Friulian restaurant, with a charming old dining room. it is located in a fantastic location in the middle of the hill in castelnovo del friuli. what to say, besides excellent. we were here for my grandmother 90 years and tried. many different things. among all, the frico is a signature court, and the Australian Angus Tagliata is also top note. house wine is easy to order (we did not ask for certain bottles.) service is friendly and nice. there is also good attention to certain diets (one of us had to eat gluten-free.) I was not the one to pay, but from the menu the pricing looks good.

La posizione del ristorante è bella e la ristrutturazione ottima, con un meraviglioso focolare al centro del locale. Abbiamo pranzato con due antipasti, fiori di zucca ripieni e croste di polenta con pomodori, pesto e stracciatella. Abbiamo poi gustato due secondi, fritto con polenta e taglio di faraone, entrambi piatti deliziosi e di ottimo gusto. Il personale era molto cordiale e attento. È stata davvero una bella giornata.

Ambiente accogliente e pulito, personale eccezionale, cibo di ottima qualità con presentazione molto accurata. In generale i prezzi non sono proprio economici ma ne vale assolutamente la pena.

I came to this place every summer, my whole life. I've eaten there when the previous generation was still running the place, now the next generation has taken over. they are proud to prepare local dishes, always with an eye for detail. I like the fact that it is a local little business, it shows with the service. the place is informal, ideal for a good meal with friends and family. and as it is so informative, it is very easy to bring their children: they can run around and play: no danger, which is lost from the traffic or the traffic. very relaxed! if it's in the neighbourhood it's definitely worth a divert.
