Contribuiți la feedbackWe came as a party of 8 at 1:30 a.m. on a Friday unannounced. the owners were very accommodating in ordering a long table for the group. they spoke very little English, but we could understand and the menu of ours. selection eating for all of us was served well and tasty. exactly what we needed before we set ourselves on a 7-day travel holiday at the canal du midi.
Okay, so the first confusion of the evening is the identity of this establishment. la dolce vita is from an obvious giveaway to find our bemusement on the menu and array of Italian, French / Russian and Indonesian meals. to be in castelnaudary, the obvious choice would be to try the famous cassoulet, but a) warm weather together with b) heavy wind that we do not want to dig too far from our boat. So we decided to be too close and Italian, we didn't think it could go far wrong. mistkerl! my man ordered the entrecote with poirve vert medium cooked *ja not italian, but there were limited Italian options and I ordered a somewhat common simple spaghetti carbonara. to relax when my man ordered his steak, the sides that accompanied this were a green salate and spaghetti. yes spaghetti! vitello milanese we would expect a page of spaghetti or more exact risotto milanese, but spaghetti with steak does not work. asked for pomme frittes but not available, although pomne de terre was available for the famous Italian plate of the duck boobs with strawberries on the menu? do it well! in any case our meal times if they could call it that arrived. my man steak was so rare that he still sucked milk from his mother and the sauce he says was disgusting. as far as my carbonara is concerned, I left him after a few mouthful. it was spaghetti with rührei and Limp-Bacon. a student on debt could cook much better. enjoyable experience and a restaurant in complete denial.
Eating is very bad, as you can say that eating here is good, is beyond me. eating was meant not to cook a standard wager hard, but I think they're trying to be over spaltered and messed up the whole thing. back to base
We had lunch and dinner here the day before our Le Boat was ready for our Canal du Midi trip. I had a large wonderful salad for about 12 euro. Others in my group had cassoulet and enjoyed it. The menu price for lunch and...dinner (3 courses) was very reasonable I believe around 20 euros or less. It is easy walking distance to Le Boat.
We stumbled upon Dolce Vita when starting a Canal boat holiday. Four of us enjoyed inexpensive but excellent meals accompanied by good local wine. Although nothing to look at from the road, the welcome and quality of the food made the visit memorable. A week...later we returned for another meal which indicates our satisfaction. Both the tartiflette pizza and the duck were exceptional value. A good selection of deserts rounded off splendid meals.
