This was a perfect location for us while traveling around the Dordogne we visited here a couple of times to get cakes and sometimes a sandwich. Prices are reasonable and the food is fresh! I would recommend trying the cakes! Yum!

We loved this place while staying nearby, really glad we don’t live in the area otherwise we would go everyday. This croissants and bread were beautiful everyday. We also one day bought some cakes and I 100% recommend the lemon meringue!

The owners of our rental recommended this as the best bakery in the area, worth the trip--which a family member then made every morning. What is there to say? The bread is excellent, with many specialities on offer. Tarts, dessert specialities, bright and pleasant. Worth...the trip. And there's an excellent local butcher shop just across the terrace.

Every morning I used to stop by the Boulangerie Patisserie in La Roque-Gageac. Unfortunately they closed their doors and I happened to go to Castelnaud-La-Chapelle a mere 4 kms from us. I would buy croissants, pains au chocolat petits pains aux raisins and the traditional...baguette. But I discovered their desserts and could easily be addicted. These are so delicate to the palate. The choice for a little village is amazing. If you happen to be in the area this is a must stop.

Super find recommended by the owners of the gite we stayed in. We only tried the Pain de Campagne, Croissant and Pain au Chocolat but they were all absolutely superb. Go in early in the day to avoid disappointment as they do sell out of...stuff. Highly recommended.
