Adagio - Castell-Platja d'Aro

Just back from a long haul business trip, I almost cancelled our reservation in favour of sleep. I am so glad we did not cancel! This restaurant is amazing. To start with the booking process is well organised, with option to let the restaurant know of any comments. My husband let them know I am vegetarian. On the day of the reservation we received an email checking we still planned to dine. When we arrived for dinner we were greeted by the owner/chef and his partner. The restaurant is elegant and intimate, with a relaxed, welcoming vibe. We were seated and given a welcome drink. We were given excellent advice on wine and food. My husband had scallops to start, I had a lovely pea tartlet. For main my husband had steak and said it was perfect. My main was also perfect, a vegetarian dish with wonderful flavours. Dessert was also lovely. During dinner the service was impeccable, the owner is a fantastic host and chef who speaks several languages perfectly! I could not fault this dining experience, it was the best! We will be back.

Our restaurant experience here was heads and shoulders above anywhere else we ate in the area. The restaurant itself is small and elegant. The service was impeccable, including the advice on food and wine. We were here with our two young teens and they enjoyed it as much as we did. The food was as good as anything we could eat at a five star NYC restaurant but also the plating was a treat we don’t often take pictures of our meals but some of the pictures from here will make it into our holiday photo book. And do not miss dessert however full you are!

What a beautiful resteraunt. The service was exceptional and the food was absolutely delicious. Great atmosphere too. If you’re in the area I’d 100% recommended visiting this place; oh and it’s fairly close to the beach too.

Toda la comida fue espectacular. tienes que reservar sí o sí, porque apenas están disponibles. Es un pequeño restaurante con un solo chef y un único barman, por lo que toma un poco de tiempo para servir los platos, pero la verdad es que no nos importaba y valía la pena. Ellos se encargan de la presentación y cada detalle. del postre destacan los milhojas que hacen, muy riquos.
