Contribuiți la feedbackGreat pasta dishes and a perfect Fiorentina Steak was our summery when eating here. The setting is lovely overlooking the valleys from the terrace and the hostess was attentive and considered. The choice of beers could do with being extended and the desserts are bought...in frozen but that aside our experience was a delight and the bill reasonable.
I liked Il Piattoforte, but there were good points and bad. On the plus side the waitress was lovely, the produce was fresh, the wine was great, and the fillet steak was beautiful (very well rested, rare and full of flavour). On the down side...the first time we arrived the gentleman outside told us the place was closed (not that I'd normally worry about opening hours but 8pm on a Saturday isn't a wise time to decide not to admit some tourists), and when we did get in the following Friday my partner's grilled boar required teeth like a Bond villain to chew through it. Despite the tough pig meat I'm still happy to give this place four stars. The service was good, the rest of the food was lovely, and the value for money could barely be bested. Oh yeah, and the home made cantuccini with vin santo were gorgeous!
Was a pleasant evening in the name of the excellent cuisine. a little out of hand but the welcome and sympathy of the owner is worth it. we let ourselves be advised and he proposed an appetizer of the house, fettuccine to the ragù of spectacular wild boars, a super cut with cherry tomatoes and rucala and lamb ripped with sausages and artichokes. outline of the wonderful baked potatoes. What do you mean? Thank you so much for everything. with thefork the account was irresponsible. super recommended. If you're from the area, don't let him go. try to believe
Day dedicated to the visit of the Abbey of San Galgano. Where are we going to eat? search on the fork, which offers us this restaurant Piattoforte....a wonderful proposal. the owner welcomes you as in the family, and the lunch is to lick the mustache. a meat appetizer in the norm, the three first, pig and pece, boar ragout and truffle cutlery cartoccio, are simply fantastic. second a rough cut and grain for two people and lemon fried chicken always x two. plentiful portions but above all excellent quality. I forgot some wonderful roasted potatoes. then cantuccini with the holy wine and coffee. all watered by a good bottle of montalcino red. we spent euro in a dream, not to miss absolutely, indeed it would be worth making km, as we did, at least once a week
Great place to eat, egg-made house, wide menu,contes more than honest,to try. I'll be right back.
