Il Ciabot - CASALBORGONE

Good cuisine with a touch of originality in the presentation of the dishes. Ingredients absolutely genuine and only of season. Cozy and titular premises more than available to advice and requests. We were a table of 16 people all satisfied for the evening. Charming landscape...in the evening the illuminated country looked like a crib. To return, next time for a spring lunch!

I was at the Ciabot just yesterday on the occasion of a baptism. The place is nice, simple but cozy and enjoys a beautiful view that in spring or summer is definitely more appreciable. The courses were very numerous, being a baptism of course had been chosen by the festivities, but I imagine that you normally eat with fixed menu. Everything was particularly good and of excellent quality, each dish was well served and maintained in every detail, with an original and very inviting presentation, such as the tartare of raw meat and celery cream served in glass cups, or the pore flan with gorgonzola cream decorated with nuts, and also the mini portions of polenta with mushrooms. Very good the ravioli of lean with butter and sage and also excellent the fresh cutters with meat ragù. Original presentation of the chicken bucconcini with caramel orange and honey and very tender grilled meat fillet. The only flaw was the slowness in service and the long wait between one course and the other that has spread too much times (this probably linked to the type of lunch). In conclusion: to try!

Yesterday 21 September I went to the inauguration of this farm/farm, located in an old house well restored in the hill of Casalborgone, from where you enjoy a spectacular view. Obviously like all the openings there were so many people. It was not the usual opening with small appetizers, but a real dinner, with appetizers, first, seconds (grilled meat) , delicious treats and Macedonia all unleashed by sangria and excellent wine. Last night was a pleasant evening of late summer and it was possible to do everything in the lovely garden. To the owners, kind, courteous and friendly I wish to continue so because surely they have all the cards in order to succeed!! I'll be right back and recommend it to everyone.
