Shake Shack Waverly Place - Cary

The food here was great. I had a double cheeseburger with fries and a chocolate shake. This place is a bit expensive though. I will be back again.

The food here has always been good, but the service is basically nonexistent. The employees have never been particularly friendly, and you always have to wait a while to be acknowledged if you aren’t ordering.This location recently got a curbside pickup option but twice I’ve used it and didn’t actually have anyone bring my food out. Today was one of those times, and it was very frustrating because I have 4 kids in car seats and didn’t have any way to hold onto them and our food, which is why we ordered curbside. After waiting about 7 min from when it said the food was ready, I called the number on the sign, and the only option is to speak to a manager, but it just went to voicemail. I ended up having to go in, and our order was nowhere to be found. Eventually, after going back out and waiting and coming back in, I found it on the counter near the register (which is not where you pick up to go orders), and I waited several more minutes to be acknowledged to get it. After all of that, the sauce for our food was missing, but I wasn’t about to go back in for that. They need to either hire more employees or get rid of the curbside option.

I’m not a big Shake Shack fan but my kids are so I’ve been to a few. The burger I got from this location is the best Shake Shack burger I’ve ever had which is to say it was good maybe too greasy which is better than dry. Spicy fries with ranch are also okay.

If I could give it 10 stars I would!! This was my first time having Shake Shack and I was not disappointed at all. I did an online order and it was ready fast. I got the cheeseburger with the Shack sauce, fries and strawberry lemonade carbonated (must try! . I like that there is many different pick up options: walk up window, curbside, delivery, drive thru, and kiosk counter. The communication was great from start to finish. You can see the progress of your order online as well as in your confirmation email, and you will also get a text. The location is great. The food was nice and hot AND the company will give you a courtesy notice letting you know that after 30 mins of your food being done that if will have to be thrown out (food safety . Great smash burgers and I will most definitely will be coming back especially to try those shakes!

Good burgers, sometimes orders are wrong, not sure if it's the machines or employees or both. Employees are hardworking. For some reason I order regular fries and get spicy fries instead and no ranch, and no avocado when I ordered an avocado
