Paisan's Italian Cary

The last time we visited Paisan's, it was fantastic. We were fortunate to secure a table. However, on our most recent visit, we discovered that the restaurant has been sold and is now transitioning from Italian to Himalayan cuisine. The old Italian menu was still available, but with some items crossed off and a promise that they could still prepare those dishes. The restaurant was nearly empty, with only one other couple dining. It seemed like they were trying to use up any remaining Italian ingredients before fully switching to their new menu. It may be a great new spot in the future, but don't expect the same level of quality for Italian food.

I was persuaded to come here, not knowing it was located in Cary. In general, it was just average. When we inquired about the Veal Sinatra dish, the waiter's response was simply that it is made with veal - not very helpful. There are better Italian options in Cary.

The exterior and interior of the restaurant are not very impressive. However, the food is excellent and it is clear that the focus is on the quality of the dishes.

So we get the old Italian menu with several items that are scratched by the list, and the promise that they could still make the dishes. The place was abandoned, but for another couple. It was as if they tried to use the Italian food that they had randomly left in their storage room while changing. Can be good as a new venue that knows. Do not expect good Italian.

I was in here. I never knew it was in Cary. Overall very average. We asked the waiter about the Veal Sinatra his answer was made with calf. That was helpful. There is better Italian in Cary.
