Awaze Ethiopian Eritrean Cuisine - Cary

The food was excellent. I tried the veggie plate, chicken tibs, and lamb tibs, and I enjoyed them all. I also liked both the pita and the soft injera bread. I recommend visiting this restaurant if you want to experience authentic Ethiopian cuisine.

The staff is amazing and the atmosphere is cozy. Unfortunately, the food was a letdown. We ordered a salad expecting a traditional tomato salad but received a vegetable medley with a bland vinegar dressing instead. The lentils (Azifa) were cooked plain, lacking any spices or flavor, even after we mentioned to the server that we prefer spicy dishes. We also weren't provided with any utensils. To top it off, our order took about 30 minutes to arrive (we had just ordered a drink). I wouldn't recommend this place.

We ordered the meat plate, and the kay wot and bark meat alecha were phenomenal. The veggie platter was delightful too; I loved the ktikil gomen, misir azifa, and gomen. We also tried the awaze tibs (lamb) with injera. While my partner might have preferred pita, I absolutely adored the rich flavors and texture of the injera. My one-year-old even enjoyed feeding me, embracing that beautiful Ethiopian tradition of love and respect. We will definitely be back!

We had a delicious Ethiopian dish. We mixed the meat sample plate with the vegetarian plate when we ordered it and shared it together. After that we tried the fine traditional café, which really tastes special and good. The staff was very friendly and friendly!! It was our first, but not last visit?

The food here was wonderful! We got the meat and veggie platter and it was excellent. If you haven't tried Ethiopian food I highly recommend you check this place out and give it a shot. The staff were very attentive and kind. We will be going back often!
