Il Ponte - CARTOSIO

This restaurant sits right next to the road through Cartosio, 2kms south near a bridge (hence il ponte), There is an outside space with a few tables,where we sat. Primarily they serve pizza, but traditional (anti)pasta and meatcourses can be enjoyed too. The pizza's are from a wood oven , thin enough and taste OK. The choice was somewhat limited. The rest of the dishes are very simple, but antipasti and pasta are always nice enough in an italian family restaurant. Choice of wine and drinks was limited. We got a reasonable wine from near Novara. (Colline Novaresi).

I regularly visit this restaurant and Marco, his father Bruno and the other family members always surprise you with the quality and the atmosphere. Pizza is excellent, the ravioli a salvia e burro is my personal favourite.
