Contribuiți la feedbackI spent a lot of time in Puerto Vallarta and Nuevo Vallarta Mexico. I would like to leave some advice for individuals who want to travel to Puerto Vallarta or Nuevo Vallarta. First, beware of fake Uber drivers. After dinner in a fish restaurant, I ordered a Uber trip home. A car arrives at the desired time. It is the same brand and model as the car I expected. I'm going home. When we arrive, the driver says: “You have to pay me for the ride”. I'm surprised to say the least. The driver asks for 150 pesos. I want to avoid a possible conflict. I'm older and disabled. When I get home, the real Uber driver sends me a message that he's waiting for me. I'm out of the tariff I paid the real Uber driver, and the tariff I paid the fake. Most taxi drivers love to claim they have no change. That's a lie. All you need to do is say that you get the exact change and the entire driver must wait for you. At a moment, the taxi driver discovers that he has finally changed. I also had a Lundromat pad. Apparently, dishonest people have arrived in Puerto Vallarta/Nuevo Vallarta. Although I'm sure there's an honest one out there.
We really wanted to. With a delicious taste for Mexican foods both Mexico and California, we were looking for something similar in Cartagena. The restaurant, as noticed by others, is hard to find in the night. Her name is painted on the front of the building, but it wasn't the night we were. The restaurant was very nice and had an authentic Mexican feeling. It was open, well illuminated and with sufficient fan circulation. It could have used a beautiful background of Mexican music. The service was terrible. The young server we had was unclear how to handle customers. There were three of us. She brought a duck long before the others were served. She missed bringing one of the two remaining ducks that we had ordered, instead of waiting for another, two of us shared the second duck. She positioned herself at the far back of the bar if she did not serve where it was impossible to see if one of her customers needed help. The menu was very limited and does not include such Mexican clamps like Fajitas and Enchiladas, or fried beans. The food we had was good, but it lacked the spices that were usually found in Mexican foods. Perhaps this is because Colombians tend to prefer milder foods. The margaritas and other drinks were very nice and cheap. The owner came by the end of our meals to find out about the food and service. At this point we had all three decided not to return, and so it made little sense to explain everything we had experienced. A nice restaurant with the potential to be a great restaurant. We live in Cartagena and would welcome a really decent authentic Mexican restaurant.
We had a taquiza and we love it so much that we did it again. Totally recommended. The service is super good, we enjoy everything
The setting, the resort , the weather , and the food are what people look for when they are planning a winter get away. One never thinks, are the staff friendly , and helpful , and literally tripping over each other to make sure that you enjoy your holiday ? One never considers the time and effort that is made to encourage visitors , to join in , or try for the first time . Often then , they join in every day after , and return home saying they played darts , tried spin class in the pool, or yoga, or a pinacolada , and ossobucco and it was a great holiday ! I wrote down some of the staff 's names that we were particularly friendly with , so the resort will know they made good choices in hiring ! Unfortunately , I didn 't write down dining room staff and the cooks names, the ladies that cleaned the pool area bathrooms , the gardeners etc. We were at the family pool area. Yoga ... Gaby, Luz, Tania . Bartender...... Omar, Hector, Oscar, Jessica, Christian , Paulo, Roy, Jerry. Also. Osvaldo Your friendliness , and efforts to help us with our Spanish , was first class. Thank you, Joan Rick Sands
We arrived very early, had difficulty in finding the place, pleasant surprise when we finally located the restaurant. Next to the shop on the corner, big wooden gates. Great margaritas, we had a shared platter for two, taquiza with beef. Delicious and very fresh. The staff were not overly friendly at first. We were the only customers. The owner came to see if our meal and drinks were satisfactory, which they were. Definitely go again. Nice courtyard setting, a little to dark for me to see.
