La Cala - Cartagena

We ate here an evening the choice to eat later night meant that we had the only diner in the restaurant had a pleasant meal, but think that the location directly above the beach is more appreciated on the day perhaps a good choice for lunch. the local taxis will neither go to or go so if they want to enjoy a few drinks, it is worth keeping in the eye

Today we wanted to experience a special lunch, as it was the last day of our holiday in Spain, we were here to celebrate our 30th anniversary. Therefore we wanted to enjoy a romantic lunch in la cala, a restaurant on a unique location on the sea with great sea view. since this restaurant is part of the la manga golf club resort, we also assumed that this would be a guarantee for great service and quality. what it turned out to be disrespectful,!!! the odd was great, but only a minute after the starter was served, they also brought our main diver thunfisch on our table. we don’t know who messed up, but after a dispute between the waitress and the “Koch” in the restaurant/open kitchen our main dish went back to the kitchen. we tried to enjoy our ancestors well, but after we had seen the above argument, it was not easy. as soon as our starters, where finished 10-15 minutes later empty plates have been taken away. at this moment I kept the open kitchen in the eye and I saw that the “Koch” immediately set the same from 15 minutes before the grill. a few minutes later the same tuna as 20 minutes before, where served us again yes, I am not 99% but 100% sure that it served the same tuna as 20 minutes ago! unnecessary to say that the thun fish not only tasted not good anymore, but also was much too grilled instead grilled rare as we asked it was now good-done. unbelievable that the guests are treated so! when the waitress took away our teller, she asked us if it was good at lunch. we answered her that this was not the case for the above reasons. she has understood our complaint perfectly, but no waiter/manager/Koch has done something with our complaint. our dissatisfaction was completely ignored. a photo of our bill. we left 50 minutes after our arrival with 115 euro less in our wallet and very, very, disappointed about our Cala-Vitit, a restaurant that is to be considered a superior restaurant. what a bad customer experience we have received here. never important for us!!! ps: I am a tripadvisor reviewer for more than 10 years, have written many reviews 100. Absolutely stunning restaurant. the location is idyllic, eating is from this world and the service is wonderful. we had the most beautiful seafood and paella, a beautiful bottle cooled wine celebrated my men 50. followed by a dive in the middle sea. Simply perfect....Thanks to the wonderful personal that made his birthday very special. we'll see you next year!

The best at this restaurant is the location. eating is expensive, but is well presented in a wise that with the higher price than restaurants in say cabo de palos. there were some fish dishes not available when we...went, I guess this is a professional risk for such a remote restaurant, but it does not have the longest menus and so it was a little annoying. service is good, location great, eat expensive, but it is worth going.

We were a mixed group of 12 golfers last Friday evening service was excellent friendly, knowledgeable, humourous. The food was great but portions were huge don't overdo it on the starters listen to the advice given on how many you need... paella for 4 could have fed 6 8, the sea bass for 5 was about right. Loved the restaurant setting overlooking the cove sea, only open Fri/Sat in October. Highly recommended.
