Salad was also fresh and cold just like it should be. Dont come for a romantic setting just for honest real food that tastes great.
This restaurant serves only three dishes. Absolutely gorgeous, the decor provides great ambience. Clean, tidy and neat. This place is a hidden gem in the hustling and bustling port city, Long Beach.
The absolute best teriyaki in the city. The owner is especially nice and a damn good cook. I've been following her for years and I am always pleased.
This is one of those 5 star reviews that really should be 3 stars, but the sheer overwhelming duckery of multi-pronged sensory experiences this place left me with were just too hysterically comical. The food was good enough, but one of their chairs was broken and it was at the table I really wanted to sit at. So I attempted to fix it. The owner lady insisted and pleaded and begged me to just sit at another table, and she would fix the chair later, but I was adamant. I could see she was really concerned, so I sat at the less desirable table, albeit reluctantly (don't ask me why I didn't just move a good chair to the table I wanted, you had to be there to understand why this would have just made things exponentially more awkward). She then gave me extra salad with my meal, which I didn't care for in the least, but was thankful for nonetheless. I guess you don't experience real gratitude until you receive a few extra leaves of chopped iceberg lettuce, I could tell this was a big deal, and I suppose it really taught me how to be more empathic to different forms of social altruism. I asked for chopsticks and she handed me a pair, but insisted I hand the fork back, and not throw it away. I just like to believe she cared for the environment so much, and to such a high degree, and was not seriously trying to pinch a half cent fork, but I digress. I ate my meal in peace as the comically large dining room made for an interesting dining experience. I left and thanked the owner, and she reciprocated my existence (I'm aware it's not grammatically correct, there is just no other way to describe it). I literally thought about the fork incident for the rest of the day. Purely dumbfounded, but appreciate such a novel experience at an ok restaurant I just have to give them 5 stars. There really isn't anything terrible to say about this place.
Nice and clean. Well mannered staff. First time eating there and I must say the food was really good. Would definitely recommend
