Seven Seas Hotel - CARRINGTON

Popped in here with 20 of my closest after a birthday function at Carro Bowlo. Staff polite and served a loud bunch of nice people till closing.

The grain food at this place is ok.it needs less meat in the thai beef salad.i know winging about a big feed but let me tell ya its way 2 big for one person once u downsize the meat it would taste so good because...More

Delicious and well priced authentic Thai food we have eaten here on several occasions loved the food and drinks from the bar make it a well priced night out.

Three of us went for dinner to the Grain Thai restaurant in the Seven Seas hotel on a Wednesday night. It was very quiet and the service was very good. We shared the crab balls and the steamed dumplings for an entrée - both were beautiful. For a main we shared the lemon chicken which was really dry and didn't have much flavor at all - it really needed more sauce and the king prawns in an oyster sauce - this was a really lovely dish with great flavours. You can order drinks from the bar - reasonably priced wine by the bottle. The meal not including the wine was $75 for the three of us and considering the size of the meals it was well priced.

We came here a few years ago and remembered fondly the good atmosphere and the great Thai food. The pub is still lovely, with very reasonably priced drinks, friendly locals and staff. As of August 2015, the food is no longer Thai, more old-school pub food with daily specials for hungry people, wraps, steak, fish etc. We were a bit overwhelmed with the generosity of the helpings of the Sunday $12 roast which was lamb in thick slices, potatoes, pumpkin and beans. I understand it's early days yet for the restaurant so we'll see how it goes.
