Contribuiți la feedbackVery good food, very nice people, beautiful place for dinner. we spent our last evening of our holidays in the BR Bistro and it was very delicious and nice. A good place to be.
Lovely place in the centre of town for a meal or snack. It has also recently expanded into what was formerly Paddy's Bar.
Having entered the place without a booking and after much deliberation, we found ourselves having a cocktail at the (newly opened bar at the back, while waiting for a table to be abailable in the restaurant. The barman was knowledgeable and very friendly, and the cocktails were as near to perfection as you can get. A table was freed earlier than we had anticipated, and a waitress came to fetch us as promised: a very kind attention in what turned out to be a very busy weekend in town (the Carrick Carnival, June Bank Holiday Weekend . We finished the cocktails while perusing the menu. The menu itself is not extremely large, but it need not be as it is full of appetising dishes. We were not disappointed! We had to restain ourselves to not wolf down the starters (soup of the moment , goat 's cheese and chicken/duck live pâté , and the mains were on a par: the chicken burger was sumptious, the chicken penne, while sounding 'basic ', were deliciously well prepared, and the garlic prawns an absolute delight. The place is relatively small and the staff is extremely efficient and smiling, which makes for a very pleasant and relaxing experience. As we had got there relatively late, we ended up being the last customers out and were lucky enough to have a nice chat with the proprietors and the staff, to cap a very good evening. If/When we visit Carrick again, we know where we 'll stop for a drink at the well-appointed bar, and/or for an excellent dinner.
Had the pleasure of eating here last month. Staff and food are second to none. Warm, inviting and safe place to dine. The decorations are amazing and give it a real festive feel. I ordered the garlic prawns, everything was cooked to perfection and was accompanied by focaccia. The whole dish and the experience was absolutely faultless Can't recommend it enough, cannot wait to go back.
We arrived at 2pm without a booking and were very thankful that we could get a table. The staff were very friendly, the restaurant decor was modern, clean and tables were well spaced to accommodate social distancing. We ordered Fillet Steak, the King Prawn Linguine, the King Prawn Chorizo Pil Pil and the Penne Pasta. As our food was cooked to order we were waiting a while but trust me it was definitely worth waiting for. Portion size was perfect, taste was amazing, flavours were spectacular and we are already deciding on what we would choose on our next visit. Somehow we managed to have room for dessert, especially the children who ordered the Dessert of the Moment, perhaps all they heard was chocolate, choclate, chocolate with chocolate . Again no one was disappointed. Well done to all, especially the kitchen staff. This is a wonderful place to dine in Carrick.
