CrossTies Barbecue - Carrboro

I came to chapel hill, NC for a graduation and stayed across the street.

The restaurant is located in several old railroad cars, so tables are limited. A reservation is a very good idea. Cross Ties is eclectic rather than solely Eastern North Carolina bbq, with ribs, brisket, chicken and other things on the menu. And they offer a variety of barbecue sauces. The large order of St. Louis-style ribs was outstanding. Plus it's open on Monday, unlike many Triangle restaurants.

Very good Carolina BBQ. Definitely would visit again.

Portions were good, but a bit small. It was a beautiful evening and it was great to sit outside and enjoy in the smoke aroma from the wood pit.

Loved the food and decor! The Gouda Mac and cheese is exquisite.
