The place is great to visit with kids, they have plenty of space to play on and around the menhirs around the house. The only small complaint: the crêpes don't arrive on the same time. In a big group, that causes "eating in shifts".
This small white washed place is tucked down the lane behind the main alignment in the tiny village that seems made out of the menhirs themselves. Magical.
The crepes were excellent, especially sausage, egg and cheese. You can sit outside in the garden, framed with ancient monoliths, or inside the medieval farmhouse.
Situated in Menec next to the Alignments, this creperie offers a wide range of both savoury (made with 'ble noir' flour) and sweet crepes. We were advised to visit by our daughter who was there last year and it was certainly worth the visit after a morning looking at the monoliths.I had a bacon, cheese and egg crepe followed by a caramel one - both were delicious and quite the best we had during our holiday in Carnac.
We saw this place by chance as we wanted to see these endless fields of unique megaliths. My son said why don't we eat there, I turned around and saw this old farm house with some random tables outside and thought, this looks cute but must be a touristic nightmare. But a crêpe is a crêpe and not too difficult so we went there. Tables outside were full so we went in and it was just the most lovely cosy place and there were at least two larger groups of local French families celebrating birthdays. We ordered our crêpes and noticed that there are big differences in crêpes and these were absolutely top notch! The kids had a chocolate one and we had a caramel/ sel one. A nice apple cider for drinks and we were ready for a long walk around all those stones!
