The Star At Vesuvio - Carmel By the Sea

Service is extremely slow. Food was bad. Expensive meal that is not worth the price at all. Do not recommend. We had the seafood risotto and ragu bolognese both really disappointing.

Honestly, such a cute spot to grab a bite in Carmel. Rooftop deck with a few fire pits for when it's cold. Nothing super fancy, but the pizza and bruschetta were lovely and we arrived just in time for happy hour, which was a nice surprise. Service was friendly as well. A good spot to come with friends and enjoy a spring afternoon.

Stopped by for wine and dessert. Not disappointed. The night was a bit chilly but not with the heat lamps and mini fire pits. Our server was a little forgetful but overall that was forgetful.

My wife and I wanted to try something new in Carmel. After going to dinner at Mediterranean restaurant, we headed to Vesuvio to check out their rooftop lounge. It's a lively place with good drinks. It was freezing outside, but we didn't feel it because of all the heaters and fire pits they have. This will be our new to place to go to after dinner when we come back to Carmel. It does get packed quickly and they close at 11 pm.

This rooftop bar in Carmel is fantastic! It features numerous heating options and cozy stoves, comfortable padded chairs, and ample space for larger groups. The service was excellent. Although I only stopped by for a drink, the music was wonderful and the ambiance was lovely. It seems to attract a younger crowd compared to the dinner we had downstairs.
