Grasing's - Carmel

Four men traveling across the country were in need of lunch. We used OpenTable to find a restaurant and were not disappointed. The food was fantastic, and we enjoyed sitting on the outdoor patio. The service was outstanding, and we all decided to try the daily special - a tasty fish sandwich served on olive sourdough. Each of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would definitely recommend giving this place a try.

During our second visit to this restaurant, my husband's fish arrived raw. After attempting to eat it, he returned it to the waiter. Unfortunately, 15 minutes later, the same fish was brought back to us on top of the same cold French fries. Additionally, the tables are placed too close together, making it difficult to not overhear conversations from neighboring tables. While my steak was cooked well, it did not meet the standards expected for the price of $72. Overall, we were disappointed with our experience and have decided not to return in the future.

During a recent trip to Carmel, my wife and I visited this restaurant twice. The first visit was for a work dinner with nearly 40 people in their private dining room. The service, atmosphere, and food were all excellent! They also have an impressive wine selection. We returned for lunch on our own and had an equally delightful experience. I highly recommend this restaurant!

We visited Grasing’s to celebrate a birthday dinner and everything was amazing! I noted in the reservation that we were there to celebrate a birthday and they surprised us so much without having to mention anything additional when we arrived. They had confetti on the table and surprised my boyfriend with a piece of cake and a candle for dessert. It was perfectly coordinated! The food and wine were also amazing. The crab cakes were so fresh and the butter lettuce salad were perfect starters. We split the NY Strip steak and Goat cheese potato gratin as our main and everything was delicious. I would highly recommend and look forward to returning on our next visit.

Highly recommend the swordfish and crème brûlée. Would have preferred a better table, but the service was great.
