Cafe Italia - Carlton

We were staying on Drummond St. and this great restaurant was a 3min walk away. We went 2 nights in a row so we could sample another dish as we had enjoyed the first meal so much. The pasta was delicious as was the entre dips to share. The pork belly was delicious. The portions were large. The staff were friendly and the service was good. We had a lovely time both nights. Would highly reccomend this restaurant.

I was very impressed with the menu and the food. We could not decide which dish to try first.The menu was not your typical meals and the food was exceptional. Reminded me of home cooked meals. Very generous in the servings. Definitely coming back to try another dish or two.

We were a group and only 1 chef who could not cope with the amount of people. We had to ask the staff to take our order. Food came out very late, and not one person in our group enjoyed what they ordered. Terrible. Would not go back or recommend. The menu was limited also.

I really loved this restaurant, so much so that I'm considering having my next birthday gathering here.
