Blue's Bar & Grill - Carlton

Stayed her one night and in the morning we had breakfast at the buffet and it was lovely, great variety of cold and hot and also gluten free, the staff was very attentive and quick, we will come back

We recently had an event at Rydges and it was perfect. We stayed overnight and enjoyed a delicious breakfast the next morning. After some sightseeing, we returned to Rydges for dinner at Blues Bar and Grill. We had a wonderful experience - the food was delicious, well-presented, and the service was excellent. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Almost, but not quite.. We went to the Bar Grill for our buffet breakfast as part of our stay at Rydges. <br/ <br/ The restaurant was nice, well decorated, and had a good view of the nearby parkland. However the buffet left a lot to be desired; the cooked food overall was inconsistent, average, and i could have done a better job with a microwave and one pan. The fruit was tinned, and glad-wrapped to be served on our next visit (as we arrived at clean up on our first visit and early for our next). The juices were placed in small bottles with striped straws which was a novelty, however they did not stay cold for long, and would have benefited from being kept in an ice bath. The pastries were cold, and there was no way to warm them, which was disappointing as they were very hard. the service was very nice, the cook even came out to let us know they had made fresh pastries for us (as requested). The music was good, providing a calm and gentle atmosphere.<br/ <br/ Overall the food selection was adequate, however the cooked food fell short, perhaps a few minor changes would make things that little bit better.

The tapas and bar menu at this restaurant is excellent. The Kangaroo, lamb ribs, taquitos, and chipotle dishes are all delicious. The prices are fantastic and the staff are very welcoming and enthusiastic. The outdoor terrace is also wonderful. I will definitely make a point to come back here often.

Stayed at Rydges for a night and came here to have a drink and something small to eat. The young lady at the bar was lovely, the beer and pina colada were nice and wedges were so good!! Would recommend and eat here again.
