Top Choice Fish - Carlsbad

The service and quality at Top Choice are on par with, if not superior to, their parent company and neighboring establishment, Tip Top Meats. The fish is exceptionally fresh, featuring a great selection of locally caught species. The live lobster tank is clean and well-stocked, while the second live tank usually has seasonal creatures like Dungeness, king, or rock crabs. I've even spotted prawns swimming around in there. Make sure to check the freezer as well, which is filled with plenty of European and exotic products. My family shops at Top Choice every week, and we have never been disappointed.

If you're a fan of Tip Top and seafood, you'll really enjoy this spot. The prices are reasonable, and the food is excellent. Short of traveling to New Orleans, this is the best Oyster Po’Boy you can find.

This is a fantastic and budget-friendly fish market and restaurant. The fish and chips are absolutely delicious. The staff is friendly and eager to help. Everything is cooked fresh to order. The market offers a wide variety of raw fish, as well as many options for smoked and marinated fish. If you can't find something you like here, it's probably your own fault!

Freshest seafood I've ever seen in my life. Tastes pretty good, too

I cannot believe that this place has been there for 2 years and I have just found it now. The Chilean sea bass that I ordered with a garlic butter sauce vegetables and black beans was the best fish meal that I have ordered from any restaurant ever! I also picked up several servings and varieties of raw fish to bring home and cook myself. Everything looked and smelled extremely fresh. This is my new favorite spot. I will be sure to tell all of my friends and family that it doesn't get any better then Top Choice fish!
