Sugoi Sushi Bbq - Carlsbad

A hidden gem in an unexpected location! You've probably heard the term 'hole in the wall' restaurant—those places that are fantastic yet hard to find, often squeezed between a grocery store and a laundromat. Well, this restaurant fits that description perfectly! Tucked away at the back of Macy's on the second floor, it exceeded all my expectations! I was truly amazed—not only by the flavors but also by the presentation, customer service, and overall ambiance. I'll definitely be returning!

I visited a few months ago and was truly impressed. From the warm smile of the incredibly friendly hostess to the attentive service from the waitress, everything was delightful. The sushi was delicious, and they even serve wine, which added to the overall experience!

This place takes pride in the sushi they serve. Very good quality and fresh. I like to order the Nina Boat when I come. This place is a little outdated but the sushi is so good (better than any place in the nearby area) and the service is awesome, so it is really easy to overlook.

Awesome! Sushi and sashimi are fresh. Rolls are very delicious. Korean BBQ best tasting in southern California and great presentation.
